Thalapathy Vijay starrer Jana Nayagan (Jan Neta in Hindi) is shaping up to be one of the keenly awaited films of the year. The movie also holds emotional value as it happens to be the final film for the superstar before he joins politics full time. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the film’s producer Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions spoke about what it means for him to be producing Vijay’s swan song.
He said, “Being associated with Jana Nayagan is not something I look at as an achievement or a milestone; it is a responsibility. Vijay sir is not just a star; he is a phenomenon whose journey has shaped generations of audiences. To be producing what becomes his final film carries an emotional and cultural weight that goes far beyond the business of cinema. As a producer, my primary thought has been to ensure that this film honours everything he stands for – his connection with the audience, his discipline as an artist, and the integrity with which he has conducted his career.”
Venkat K Narayana continued, “There is immense gratitude, but also humility, because moments like these remind you that cinema is larger than any one individual. If Jana Nayagan becomes a film that audiences remember as a fitting closing chapter to Vijay sir’s extraordinary journey, that itself will be the greatest reward.”
Jana Nayagan also stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj among others.
