Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara is undoubtedly a superhit film no one saw coming. The compelling script, intriguing execution, and positive word-of-mouth supported the overall performance of the film at the box office. From Bollywood to Tollywood to Sandalwood, stars from various industries are lauding Kantara. In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Rishab Shetty opened up about the overwhelming response it received.

When asked if he was expecting the kind of response Kantara is getting, Rishab asserted, “mere life mai do cheez nahi hai. Ek expectation or ek excitement. Mai success ke liye kaam nahi karta honn. Mai kaam ke liye kaam karta hu. Jo energy, effort, honesty iss film mai daala hai, I think woh jaa raha hai duniya bhar mai (I don’t have two things in my life, one is expectation and another is excitement. I don’t work for success. I do my work to do it. I think the pan-Indian audience can sense the energy, effort and honesty our entire team has invested in the film).”

On the other hand, he also extended his gratitude towards the audience for showering love on Kantara. He said, “the film belonged to me till September 30th. We released this film in Kannada and it became pan-India on its own. He candidly also opened up about the shooting of Kantara and how he managed to write, direct and act in it at the same time.
