After the constant successes of Rashmika Mandanna as well as the love Dhanush has been receiving, the excitement about the two of them coming together on the big screen is quite palpable. As fans have been waiting for them to announce the title of the film, which is currently being referred to as D51, it seems that they did a get a special surprise when they found videos of the two actors shooting for this Sekhar Kammula directorial online.

From what we hear, a BTS video featuring Dhanush and Rashmika Mandanna donning the looks of the characters they will be playing for the film, has found its way on social media. Dhanush features in his casual avatar in a brown shirt whereas Rashmika is seen in a simple white ethnic ensemble with her hair let loose. Fans of the actress and the Tamil superstar took to the platform to share the video which seems to be shot from afar the sets of the movie. Although the location is still unknown, earlier reports revealed that D51 will be extensively shot in Mumbai and Cochin.

Speaking of the entertainer, the film is also expected to star Nagarjuna Akkineni in a key role and recent reports also suggested that Jim Sarbh too has been approached to play a pivotal role. While the exact details of the film are currently being kept under wraps, reports have it that the untitled venture will be set against a political backdrop, and it is also being said that the film is inspired by real events. With music by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad, D51 is directed by Sekhar Kammula. Although the release date too is yet to be locked, the makers have asserted that it will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
