The torrential rains triggered by Cyclone Michaung caused widespread waterlogging across the city, leaving residents stranded without electricity, phone network, and necessities. While it's unclear if the waterlogging in Poes Garden has been cleared at the time of this report, the video serves as a stark reminder of the flood's impact on even the most privileged sections of society.

This incident came to light shortly after Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was also spotted being rescued from a flooded location in Chennai. Images of Khan seated in a rescue boat alongside Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal and other affected individuals went viral, highlighting the severity of the situation.

In response to the crisis, Tamil actors Suriya and Karthi have announced an initial donation of Rs. 10 lakhs to aid in relief efforts. The distribution will be carried out through their fan clubs, demonstrating their commitment to supporting those affected by the floods.

Chennai and surrounding districts like Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Thiruvallur continue to grapple with the aftermath of the torrential downpour. While civic agencies work tirelessly to clear the floodwaters, many areas remain submerged, causing immense hardship for residents.
