Aishwarya Rajinikanth files police complaint over robbery of valuables worth Rs. 3.06 lakhs : Bollywood News

Earlier this week, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who is working on her film Lal Salaam, has filed a complaint at the Teynampet police station alleging that valuables Rs. 3.06 lakhs have been stolen from her Chennai residence. The filmmaker has also explained in her complaint that the valuables were 60 sovereigns worth gold and diamond jewellery. The police has registered a case under section 381 of the Indian Penal Code and are currently conducting investigations regarding the same.

In her complaint, Aishwarya Rajinikanth reportedly claimed that the jewellery has shifted several lockers and it included accessories she donned during the wedding of her sister Soundarya in 2019. According to an India Today report, the 60 sovereigns of gold and diamond jewellery included diamond sets, antique gold pieces, Navaratnam sets, bangles among others.

Since then, the valuables have shifted lockers multiple times, including the time when it was with her ex-husband Dhanush at his residence and last year, it was also shifted to Rajinikanth’s residence in Chennai. Reports also suggest that Aishwarya has named two domestic help and a driver as suspects, adding that there were very few members who were aware of the valuables being held in the locker.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rajinikanth is busy with work on Lal Salaam that marks her return to filmmaking after seven years. While the film doesn’t feature Rajinikanth in a prominent role, it does have the superstar doing a special cameo for his daughter. With music by A.R. Rahman, the film is expected to be set against the backdrop of cricket and will feature elements of communism. It will have Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant essaying lead roles.
