Wednesday breakout star Emma Myers, who made her debut on Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, talked about her favorite band SEVENTEEN and also explained the concept behind its name. “Emma, I wanted to ask you about this because I read this online, that you’re a big fan of a band,” said host Jimmy Fallon. “And when you’re talking to people, you like to introduce this band to people if they don’t know of this.”

The actress then clarified that she only introduces people when asked, but when Fallon gave her the green light, she was ready to enlighten the people. “What is the name of the band?” Fallon asked, to which Myers replied, “SEVENTEEN.”

Myers went on to share how she has been a longtime fan of the South Korean band and has been a part of CARAT (SEVENTEEN’s fan club) for the past five years. “Yeah, that’s them,” she said when Fallon showed a picture of the group, adding, “Only thirteen [members]…Thirteen in SEVENTEEN, yeah it’s a whole thing.”

Further into the conversation, the Wednesday actor went on to explain the math behind the band’s name. “OK, I’ll explain the numbers,” Myers continued. “There’s thirteen of them, so that’s thirteen, right? And there are three different groups. You have hip-hop, performance and vocal. And then there’s one team. So, thirteen plus three plus one is SEVENTEEN.”

Myers also suggested a song to Fallon and new fans discovering the band. The song she named is “To you” from their 2021 mini-album Attacca. “It’s really fun, it’s upbeat, it’s got a great story behind it, so…yeah, everybody listen to it!”

SEVENTEEN’s mention on the famous talk show also caught the super band’s attention who replied to the clip and responded, “Thank you Emma and Jimmy! Hope to see you soon :)”
