David Corenswet, known for his role in Ryan Murphy's Hollywood, steps into the iconic red cape as Clark Kent/Superman. The story will reportedly focus on a younger Clark Kent, exploring his journey as he grapples with his Kryptonian heritage and human upbringing. Alongside Corenswet is Rachel Brosnahan as the ever-inquisitive Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult takes on the role of Superman's classic nemesis, the brilliant and villainous Lex Luthor.
Set photos captured by the Cleveland publication offer a first look at some of the superheroes joining Superman on his adventure. The images showcase Nathan Fillion suited up as Green Lantern (reportedly Guy Gardner), Edi Gathegi in the role of Mr. Terrific, and Isabela Merced bringing Hawkgirl to life.

As per Collider, these early glimpses depict costumes that may not be the final versions. For instance, Hawkgirl isn't sporting her signature wings yet, and Green Lantern's attire lacks the usual vibrant green color. This suggests that the visual effects team will likely work their magic in post-production to create the iconic looks fans expect.
Superman serves as the launching point for DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The film boasts a well-rounded cast beyond the core group. Skyler Gisondo takes on the role of Jimmy Olsen, Superman's loyal friend and colleague at the Daily Planet. Anthony Carrigan brings his talents to the role of Metamorpho, a hero with the ability to transform his body. Rounding out the cast is Edi Gathegi, who dons the mantle of Mr. Terrific, a genius with peak human intellect and physical conditioning.
Originally titled Superman: Legacy, James Gunn has opted for a simpler and more impactful title – Superman. The film will arrive in theatres on July 11, 2025.
