After seven years together and two daughters, the actress and singer Joe Jonas ended their marriage in 2023. The conversation delved into her experience as part of the Jonas family, navigating fame alongside the Jonas Brothers, and finding her own identity.

Turner shed light on the dynamic that emerged between her, Priyanka Chopra (married to Nick Jonas), and Danielle Jonas (married to Kevin Jonas). Often dubbed the "J-Sisters" by fans, they frequently accompanied the brothers on tours and even appeared in the music video for the Jonas Brothers' comeback single, ‘Sucker’. However, the label irked Turner.

“There was a lot of attention on the three brothers, and the wives,” she told British Vogue. “Well, we were always called the wives, and I hated that.” Turner emphasized that Joe himself never made her feel like an appendage, but the collective perception rankled. “It was kind of this plus-one feeling. And that's nothing to do with him – in no way did he make me feel that – it was just that the perception of us was as the groupies in the band,” she clarified.

Looking ahead, however, Turner remains optimistic. While the details of the split remain private, she reveals a focus on co-parenting their daughters Willa and Delphine. “I'm unhappy with the way everything played out, especially when it comes to my children,” she admitted in the interview. “But I think we're doing the best we can.”

Last year, Sophie and Joe released a joint statement which read, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy and our children.”

After a few years of dating, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got married in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas and followed it with a grand ceremony in the French countryside. In 2020, they welcomed their first child, daughter Willa, and welcomed their second child in July 2022.
