March 2023 will see the release of a slew of new Korean dramas.

2023 has started with a slew of promising K-dramas and it only seems to get better as time passes. The month of March holds a lot of promise in terms of great storylines. Be it a thriller, a period drama, a historical drama, or even a melodrama, the next month has something for fans of every genre. The month also marks the return of the lovely Seol In Ah whom the audiences loved in A Business Proposal, Yoon Chan Young who was praised for his work in All Of Us Are Dead, Song Hye Kyo who made waves for her revenge thriller drama The Glory. Now, let’s take a detailed look at the upcoming K-dramas which are releasing in March 2023!

From Song Hye Kyo starrer The Glory: Part 2 to Cha Seung Woo-led Divorce Attorney Shin – 7 exciting K-dramas to watch in March 2023

DELIVERY MAN

Delivery Man tells the story of Seo Young Min (played by Yoon Chan Young), a young man who works as a taxi driver and only takes ghosts as passengers. He meets the quirky ghost Kang Ji Hyun (played by Bang Min Ah) who has no recollection of her past. The two begin granting wishes to other ghosts and also hunt for a serial killer. Sometimes also enlist the help of Do Kyu Jin (played by Kim Min Seok) the handsome and workaholic ER doctor. Delivery Man is directed by Kang Sol and written by Ha Bo Kyung who previously worked on Show Window: The Queen’s House. The drama is set to premiere on March 1 on ENA and Viki.

DIVORCE ATTORNEY SHIN 

Adapted from a webtoon titled Sacred Divorce, this k-drama Divorce Attorney tells the story of a talented and handsome-looking divorce attorney Shin Sung Han (played by Cha Seung Woo). His name is also a pun, for in the Korean language, Shinsunghan means ‘sacred’. He is a 40-something lawyer and finds friends in fellow 40-somethings Jang Hyun Geun (Kim Sung Kyun) and Jo Jung Sik (played by Jung Moon Sung). The drama is written by Yoo Young Ah, who is popular for dramas like Thirty-Nine, Encounter, Kim Ji Young: Born in 1982, to name a few. Divorce Attorney is directed by Lee Jae Hoon who is known for Run On, and The Ghost Detective, among others. Divorce Attorney will premiere on Netflix on March 4.

OASIS

You loved her in Mr Queen, you loved her in A Business Proposaland now she is back to charm you with a period drama Oasis. The drama tells the story of a bunch of young individuals in the 80s and 90s in South Korea. Lee Doo Hak (played by Jang Dong Yoon) is a young and clever boy from a small town who gets caught up in a conflict and ends up becoming a gangster. Seol In Ah plays the role of Oh Jung Jin, a bubbly girl who is friends with Lee Doo Hak and Choi Cheol Woong (played by Choo Young Woo). The drama is directed by Yoon Sung Shik who is known for dramas like Mr Queen, among others along with Han Hee. Oasis is written by Jung Hyung Soo who has notable historical dramas to his credit. Oasis is set to premiere on wavve on March 6.

THE GLORY PART 2

She amazed us in the first half of the story and she is back to blow our minds with the concluding story. Moon Song Eun (played by Song Hye Kyo) proved that revenge is a dish best-served cold. She was bullied in high school and years later, she takes out her anger and revenge on the children of her bullies. But there’s more to the story than just a revenge plot. We will also get to see more of Joo Yeo Jung (played by Lee Do Hyun) as he continues his puppy dog love for Song Eun. Ahn Gil Ho who directed the first part and is also known for dramas like Happiness returns to the director’s chair for The Glory Part 2. Goblin and The Eternal Monarch writer Kim Eun Sook who also wrote the first part picks the pen again for part two. The Glory Part 2 is set to release on Netflix on March 10.

PANDORA: BENEATH THE PARADISE 

If you have been missing the drama and thrill of makjang dramas (OTT dramas) like Sky CastleorThe Penthouse: War in Life, then you’re in for a delight in March. It’s always the darkest right beneath the lamp, and Pandora is here to prove it. Borrowing the title from the infamous myth of Pandora’s Box, the drama Pandora: Beneath the Paradise tells the story of a seemingly happy family who is on the track to becoming the nation’s first family. Hong Tae Ra (played by Lee Ji Ah) and her husband Pyo Jae Hyun (played by Lee Sang Yoon) have a perfectly happy life going for them. Hong Tae Ra did not have any recollection of her past but once she gets her memories back, she is filled with anger and a desire for revenge against those who wronged her. Pandora: Beneath The Paradise is directed by Choi Young Hoon who is known for One The Woman and written by Hyun Ji Min. The drama is set to premiere on TVN on March 11.

THE SECRET ROMANTIC GUESTHOUSE

Following her appearances in Yumi's Cells season 2, Revenge of Others and The Glory - Part 1 last year, Shin Ye Eun begins 2023 as the lead in the upcoming historical comedy, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse. The story revolves around Yoon Dan Oh (Shin Ye Eun), the youngest daughter who hails from a well-to-do family when her good life falls apart. She is forced to become the breadwinner for her family and starts to run a guesthouse for scholars who are studying in the hope to become high-ranking officials. The scholars include Kang San (Ryeo Woon ), Kim Si Yeol (Kang Hoon) and Jeong Yoo Ha (Jung Gun Joo). As she begins to know them, Dan Oh decides to solve a case of the missing girl. The series will premiere on March 20 on SBS.

JOSEON LAWYER

Joseon Lawyer tells the story of a bad lawyer turned a good one Kang Han Su (played by Woo Do Hwan). He manipulates the cases and uses people’s emotional vulnerability to his advantage. But he soon mends his ways and becomes a just lawyer for the common folk. He then becomes involved with princess Lee Yeon Joo (played by Bona) and judge Yoo Ji Sun (played by Cha Hak Yeok) to solve cases. The drama is directed by Lee Han Joon, who is known for Golden Spoon and Kim Seung Ho, who also directed Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Joseon Lawyer is written by Choi Jin Young who previously wrote Queen for Seven Days and Jung Ho Rak. The drama is set to premiere on MBC on March 31.
