Red One: Dwayne Johnson announced production wrap on action-comedy Christmas film with a set picture; see photo

Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans starrer action-comedy Christmas film titled Red One has officially wrapped filming. Johnson, who has been sharing updates about the film on his social media, recently shared a new set image announcing production wrap on the new film. "An absolute privilege to say that’s an official wrap of 'Red One,'” he captioned the photo.

He added, “What a ride and awakening experience this production has been, in many expected - and unexpected ways," the actor said, adding: "Empathy, kindness and seeing the good in all people. Including oneself. We made a good one. More to come. Down the road…"

While details around the plot have been kept under wraps, the action-comedy also stars J.K. Simmons, Kiernan Shipk, Lucy Liu, Kristofer Hivju and Nick Kroll. The film is described as "a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre."

The action-filled adventure was developed off an original story by Seven Bucks President of Production, Hiram Garcia. Red One is expected to be released in the later half of 2023.
