Marvel Studios gave a huge surprise on Valentine's Day as they introduced the cast of the reboot of The Fantastic Four, Marvel's first family — Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm. The highly anticipated cast was announced, revealing the group in a card overflowing with hearts. As Marvel website describes, Pedro Pascal will play the brilliant and elastic Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic); Vanessa Kirby is set to essay the role of the powerful Susan Storm (The Invisible Woman). Ebon Moss-Bachrach is the clobberin’ Ben Grimm (The Thing) and Joseph Quinn is the charismatic hot-head Johnny Storm (The Human Torch).
Previously, Marvel had two films which were released in 2005 and 2007, respectively starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis. A reboot was attempted in 2015 by Josh Trank starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell.
The Fantastic Four will kick off Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making Deadpool & Wolverine and Blade as the final two films in Phase Five.
The Fantastic Four hits theaters on July 25, 2025.
