OMEGA X wins contract termination lawsuit against their agency SPIRE Entertainment

South Korean pop band OMEGA X has won their lawsuit against their agency SPIRE Entertainment. The group announced of filing a lawsuit to terminate their contract with SPIRE Entertainment in November 2022.

As reported by the Korean tabloid Soompi, OMEGA X also announced filing criminal charges against the agency’s chairman after the former CEO (who is also the chairman’s wife) was accused of physical and verbal abuse of the group.

Following the reports, the CEO stepped down from her position but more allegations about the agency’s mistreatment surfaced and the band ultimately held a press conference to share their side of the story.

On January 11, OMEGA X took to their Instagram to share the news of their legal win against SPIRE Entertainment. “Hello, this is OMEGA X,” the group said in the post, as translated by Soompi. Today, we won the lawsuit we filed against our agency to suspend the validity of our exclusive contract. We were able to achieve this thanks to all of you giving us courage and reaching out a hand. Thank you for worrying about us and supporting us up until now.”

The group added, “FOR X [OMEGA X’s fans], we truly love you and thank you. We will repay you in the future with even better music and admirable performances. Thank you. OMEGA X ♡ FOR X”
