Oasis: Childhood friends Jang Dong Yoon and Chu Young Woo fiercely fight over Seol In Ah in new teaser; watch video

South Korean broadcasting channel KBS2 has released a new preview at upcoming drama Oasis (literal title) starring Jang Dong Yoon, Chu Young Woo and Seol In Ah. According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, Oasis (literal title) is a drama about three youths who fight fiercely to protect their dreams and friendship as well as their one and only first love in the turbulent backdrop of South Korea from 1980 to 1990.

Jang Dong Yoon stars as Lee Doo Hak who falls in love with Oh Jung Shin (Seol In Ah), a transfer student from Seoul. Chu Young Woo plays Lee Doo Hak’s childhood friend and fated rival Choi Chul Woong.

The drama’s new teaser opens with childhood friends Lee Doo Hak and Choi Chul Woong fighting. Lee Doo Hak angrily asks, as translated by Soompi, “Do you have the life of a human while I have the life of a dog?! Pig?!” In next scene Lee Doo Hak comments while thinking of Oh Jung Shin, “If you just didn’t appear, Chul Woong and I would’ve never had to compete.”

As Oh Jung Shin’s friend advices her about the two guys, she starts maintaining distance with Choi Chul Woong and states, “You cannot handle me.” Lee Doo Hak then aggressively shouts, “Didn’t you say you’d take responsibility for my life? Didn’t you say you would succeed and pay me back, you bastard?!”

Despite the boundaries set by Oh Jung Shin, Choi Chul Woong confesses his love and asks, “Can I date Jung Shin now?” However, the teaser ends with Oh Jung Shin and Lee Doo Hak kissing.
