Global pop phenomenon BTS is set to make its long-awaited return to the stage with BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG, a live special that will stream exclusively on Netflix on March 21, 2026, at 8 PM KST. The performance will be broadcast live from Gwanghwamun, Seoul, marking the group’s first global stage appearance together following the completion of South Korea’s mandatory military service by all seven members.

Netflix has partnered with HYBE to bring the historic comeback event to audiences worldwide. RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook will reunite on stage to celebrate the release of their upcoming studio album, ARIRANG. The live special will be directed by Hamish Hamilton and produced by Done + Dusted, with HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC serving as executive producers.
The live event follows the announcement of BTS’ fifth studio album, ARIRANG, described as a deeply reflective project that explores the group’s identity and roots. After the album’s release, BTS will embark on the ARIRANG World Tour (2026–2027), which will span 34 regions and 82 shows across Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and other global markets.
In addition to the live concert, Netflix will also release a feature-length documentary titled BTS: THE RETURN on March 27, 2026. Directed by Bao Nguyen (The Greatest Night in Pop), the film offers behind-the-scenes access to the group’s reunion and the making of their comeback album. The documentary follows BTS as they reunite in Los Angeles to create music together after time apart, reflecting on personal growth, creative renewal and the challenge of beginning again.
According to the official synopsis, the film captures moments of doubt, laughter and rediscovery as BTS confronts questions about how to honour their past while moving forward together. Produced by This Machine, HYBE and EAST Films, BTS: THE RETURN is positioned as an intimate portrait of the group’s resilience, brotherhood and reinvention.
BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG also represents a milestone for Netflix, becoming the first-ever live event broadcast from Korea to be livestreamed globally. The concert adds to Netflix’s expanding slate of live programming, which has included sports and entertainment events such as WWE Raw, NFL Christmas Gameday and major boxing showcases. The company’s upcoming live lineup includes MLB games, the FIFA Women’s World Cup and The Actor Awards.
The live special will be a ticketed event, with further details expected to be announced closer to the premiere.
