CinemaCon 2023 got a treat to an exclusive sneak preview of Tom Cruise’s highly anticipated film Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning, featuring a brand-new car chase through the streets of Rome!

As Variety describes, in a 20-minute sequence that on Thursday, he and Hayley Atwell, playing a mysterious operator, evade multiple different antagonists while driving at breakneck speed through the streets of Rome. Cruise and Atwell are seen handcuffed throughout much of the chase, which finds them jumping on and discarding motorcycles, police cars, and beat-up autos intended for the junkyard.

The 20-minute sequence was screened at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Thursday. Additionally, Paramount announced that it would move the release of the film up two days to July 12. As per the reports, after the screening, Paramount executives gathered around a phone to update Tom Cruise, who was not present at the event, about the audience's positive response.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning brings back ensemble members Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames and Vanessa Kirby. The film will now open in cinemas two days earlier i.e. on 12 July.
