MAMAMOO member Whee In finds joy in her own company in 'In The Mood’ video, watch

Whee In returns with her first full-length album, In The Mood. This album is the second part of the ‘WHEE IN (輝人)’ identity series, which started back in January 2022 with the release of her second mini-album WHEE. She previously explored her connection to light (輝) in WHEE and is now determined to show the natural human (人) form that lies beyond through In The Mood.

“I was quite nervous and anxious to release my first full album, but I’m very excited to finally share this album with the world. There are 11 tracks in this album and special thanks to HWASA and HAON for featuring in this album, they really brought even more charm to this album. In addition, I challenged myself to a whole new genre for me! Please give lots of love and support for IN the mood,” says Whee In.

This album showcases Whee In’s infinitely wide musical spectrum with 11 tracks in various genres. The title track, “In the Mood,” has a medium-tempo pop sound with a mix of R&B and carries the message of wanting to help find the ‘Mood’ inside of yourself. This song also encapsulates Whee In overall as an artist.

Marking their first collaboration together, Whee In collaborated with her long-time friend and fellow MAMAMOO member HWASA for the song “17.” “Bite Me” is an R&B track and was created in collaboration with rapper HAON, who is featured on the song and took part in rap writing. Another stand-out track is the final song, “Here I Am,” which is a self-written pop-rock ballad track by Whee In in which she wishes to send her sincerest feelings to fans about persevering with the light in herself even when she is found in darkness.
