My Liberation Notes star Son Suk Ku in talks for new romance drama Can This Love Be Translated?

South Korean actor Son Suk Ku in reportedly being eyed for leading role in new romance drama Can This Love Be Translated? by Hong Sisters. According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, the romance drama is about a woman who works as an interpreter and a man who speaks an entirely different love language from her own.

“Due to their polar-opposite approaches to talking about love, the two of them repeatedly misunderstand one another and get frustrated as their intentions get lost in translation,” the description continues. The My Liberation Notes actor has been offered to portray the character of Joo Ho Jin, a renowned actor who develops feelings for his interpreter, Cha Shin Hye, while promoting his work abroad.

The new drama comes from famous screenwriting duo Hong Sisters (Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran) whose famously worked on hit dramas like Alchemy of Souls, Hotel Del Luna, You’re Beautiful, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, The Greatest Love and Master’s Sun among others.
