South Korean star Kim Seon Ho has officially turned down the offer to star in the upcoming historical drama Hash’s Shinru.
According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, on March 16, Kim Seon Ho’s agency SALT Entertainment shared, “[The actor] discussed starring in the drama Hash’s Shinru, but he agreed with the production company that he will not star in the drama.”
Kim Seon Ho was offered the role Lee Hyang. The series takes place in the backdrop of the days of King Sejong, also referred to as the Joseon Renaissance. The historical romance drama follows the story of crown prince Lee Hyang, who is a scientist that loves the stars, and Hae Roo, a mysterious woman who sees the future.
As the report further shares, the Start Up actor was reported to be in talks to play genius scientist Crown Prince Lee Hyang, earlier in January. However, Kim Seon Ho ultimately decided to turn down the casting offer. The actor is currently filming director Park Hoon Jung’s new film Tyrant.
The film is described as “an action film noir about a former boxer who goes on the run after becoming the target of mysterious forces.” Go Ara, Kim Kang Woo, and Kang Tae Joo are also set to star in pivotal roles.
