Kim Kardashian has revealed she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, attributing the troubling news to the emotional strain of her high-profile split from Kanye West. The disclosure comes via a teaser from the premiere of season 7 of the show The Kardashians.
During the latest episode, Kardashian is shown entering an MRI scanner and then hearing the diagnosis in front of her family. Her older sister, Kourtney Kardashian, reacts with a shocked “Whoa!” before Kim explains, “They were like, ‘Just stress!’” She also states, “People think I have the luxury of walking away. I’m happy it’s over. My ex will be in my life no matter what.” The moment becomes even more emotional when she adds, “Last night I was like, ‘Why the f*** is this happening?’”
In addition to the aneurysm, Kardashian revealed that her long–managed psoriasis has again flared up. She said, “I haven’t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back.” Medical experts note a brain aneurysm involves a bulge in a blood vessel wall which, if small and unruptured, may be manageable but can become life-threatening if it bursts.
Kardashian and West married in 2014 and formally divorced in late 2022. They share four children: North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm. Since their separation, the pair have engaged in a very public custody struggle. With this revelation, Kim now appears ready to address both her physical health challenges and the emotional fallout of her past relationship on national television.
