Kill Boksoon: Netflix unveils new edgy trailer for Jeon Do Yeon starrer assassin thriller film; watch video

Netflix unveiled a new trailer for its Korean assassin thriller film Kill Boksoon, starring Jeon Do Yeon, on Wednesday. The streaming giant also announced that the upcoming film will premiere on March 31.

Kill Boksoon follows a woman torn between her duties as a professional assassin and single mother to a teenage daughter. An official description reads, "At work, she's a renowned assassin. At home, she's a single mom to a teenage daughter. Killing? That's easy. It's parenting that's the hard part.”

The new trailer begins with a captivating and thrilling soundtrack as Jeon Do Yeon's Gil Boksoon is depicted shopping in a grocery store in one scene and fiercely fighting her opponents with a variety of weapons such as axes, long swords, and guns in another scene that offers a stark contrast. In addition to Gil Boksoon, the trailer offers glimpses of other characters in the upcoming thriller film.

The film also stars Sol Kyung Gu, Koo Kyo Hwan as Boksoon’s rival assassin, Esom as one of her employers and Hwang Jung Min in a cameo role. Directed by Byun Sung Hyun, the film will premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival in the populist Berlin Specials section alongside Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool and Anne Fontaine’s The Innocents.

Kill Boksoon premieres on March 31 on Netflix.
