Kill Boksoon: Jeon Do Yeon starrer assassin thriller film to release on March 31 on Netflix; watch trailer

Netflix unveiled a new trailer for its Korean assassin thriller film starring Jeon Do Yeon. The streaming giant also announced that the upcoming film will be released next month.

“Kill Boksoon follows a woman torn between her duties as a professional assassin and single mother to a teenage daughter.” The newly unveiled trailer opens with Gil Bok Soon shown as “Jae Young’s mom” who is visiting a social event for parents. When asked what she does for a living, Boksoon replies with a smile, “I just work for an event planning company.”

The trailer then cuts to Gil Bok Soon getting ready for her real job. “It’s such a ironic to be a mother while doing this kind of work,” a completely different Gil Bok Soon casually comments. Gil Bok Soon later adds in the trailer, “Killing people is so simple compared to raising a kid.”

The thriller film also stars Koo Kyo Hwan as Boksoon’s rival assassin, Esom as one of her employers and Hwang Jung Min in a cameo role. Directed by Byun Sung Hyun, the film will premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival in the populist Berlin Specials section alongside Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool and Anne Fontaine’s The Innocents.

Kill Boksoon will be released on Netflix on March 31. Watch the full trailer below!
