Kanye West gets trolled for ‘misogyny’ after naked women were hired to serve sushi on their body

Netizens trolled American rapper Kanye West after he was seen using the Japanese practice of nyotaimori aka body sushi at his birthday bash.

Kanye West, who now goes by the name of Ye, recently turned a year older and celebrated his 46th birthday in a lavish way. The American rapper hosted a lavish bash which was also attended by his daughter with Kim Kardashian, North West as well as his wife Bianca Censori. While videos from the bash started doing the rounds, some of them featured nyotaimori aka body sushi where naked women were seen holding a mat of sushi on their private parts. These videos grabbed massive attention from netizens who trolled the musician massively for practicing misogyny in the name of rituals.

For the unversed, Nyotaimori is a popular Japanese ritual where sushi, sashimi etc. are served on naked women with them often holding it on their private parts. Netizens found this practice highly offensive and accused Kanye West of practicing something that is not only about objectifying women but also deeply demeaning them by using them as a serving platter. While a media website released inside photos of the bash, some fan pages also shared videos of the party, with many netizens expressing their hatred towards this practice.

Many netizens bashed him for using this as a party idea and used comments like, “misogyny at its finest”, “this feels problematic”, to describe the bash. One of them opened up about the trauma the hired women have to go through saying, “I wonder, these women who are used as tables - do they undergo physical and psychological stress training like astronauts? I imagine myself in their position, at some point experiencing a terrifying panic attack and running away.”

Yet another user slammed the rapper adding, “I can't even understand how this man has fans, everything I hear about him is so disrespectful, rude and silly and incredibly he always manages to improve himself”. One of the netizens also opened about the disturbing image it created and continued, “I'm not sure what's more disturbing, the fact that Kanye had a naked woman as a sushi platter or the fact that he thought it was an appropriate party idea. Either way, I think I'll pass on any future invitations to his shindigs”.

Kanye West hosted the bash in Los Angeles on Saturday and the bash also made news with photos of his current wife Bianca walking hand-in-hand with North West garnering ample attention on social media.
