Hwang In Yeop and Jung Chae Yeon in talks to star in Korean remake of popular Chinese drama Go Ahead

Popular South Korean actor Hwang In Yeop, who was last seen in The Sound Of Magic, is currently in talks for his next drama. Set to be a Korean remake of the popular Chinese drama Go Ahead, Jung Chae Yeon is also in talks for the role of the female lead. The series is tentatively titled A Prefabricated Family. It seems like Hwang will reprise the role of Song Weilong whereas Jung will star in the role played by Tu Songyan. The casting for second lead actor is underway, which was originally played by Steven Zhang.

The official synopsis of Go Ahead reads, “Because of some accidents of their families, three unrelated children have become new family members, living under the same building together and supporting each other. However, the damages caused by their original families remain, and those who hurt them before crash into their life again, trying to separate them by the titles of their original family members. On the one hand, they have new family members that they cherish, and on the other hand, they have indifferent biological parents that leave them no choice. They confront difficult situation bravely and try to make their parents realize their own problems. Only by healing each other as family members, can they go ahead fearlessly and turn into better selves.”

The 40-episode C-drama stars Tan Songyun, Song Weilong, Steven Zhang (Zhang Xincheng), Tu Songyan, Sun Yi, He Ruixian, and An Ge among others.

Meanwhile, Hwang In Yeop made his debut in 2018 and gained popularity with 18 Again, True Beauty, Why Her and The Sound Of Magic. Jung Chae Yeon debuted as a singer in K-pop group DIA in 2015. She has starred in many dramas including Drinking Solo, My First First Love, Homemade Love Story, and The Golden Spoon.
