Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to feature 17 songs; Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Bruce Springsteen among others on the soundtrack

Guardians — Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Drax, Mantis, Nebula, and the rest of the crew — gear up for their next galaxy-saving adventure in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film is set to open in theatres on May 5, 2023. The previous movies were known for their nostalgia-filled soundtrack and the third installment will not disappoint either. Marvel Studios recently revealed the artists featured on the soundtrack.

The Awesome Mix Vol. 3‘s tracklist includes several biggies – an acoustic version of Radiohead‘s ‘Creep,’ Beastie Boys’ ‘No Sleep Til Brooklyn’, Bruce Springsteen‘s ‘Badlands’, Alice Cooper‘s ‘I’m Always Chasing Rainbow’, The Mowgli’s‘‘San Francisco’ and Florence + the Machine‘s ‘Dog Days Are Over’, among other hits.

The soundtrack is a collection of 17 songs and is set for release on May 3. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Original Score digital album will feature music by composer John Murphy.

In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

The film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter and Maria Bakalova.

James Gunn helms the third installment and also wrote the screenplay. Kevin Feige produces with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Sara Smith, and Simon Hatt serving as executive producers.
