The highly anticipated movie Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds & Hugh Jackman, has released a new wave of promotions, as they gear up for the grand release of the film. With this installment, Jackman reprises the role of Logan aka Wolverine. In a recent conversation, Ryan Reynolds said that he was surprised that Disney allowed R-rating for the film.

“I hope this doesn’t sound condescending, I’m really proud of them for doing this,” Reynolds said during an interview with Fandango. “It’s a huge step for them, it adds a whole colour to this kaleidoscopic wheel that is that company and the different people that they have been entertaining forever.”

Ryan added that the rating was a need because “there’s no other way to do it for this character in this world.”

Echoing Reynolds’s sentiments, Shawn Levy added, “We were clear from the get-go… If the three of us are going to do this, we’ve got to be truthful to the tone of a Deadpool movie. And that means we’re not softening the edges; we’re going to be audacious and funny and edgy.”

He further said, “They kind of have trusted us and allowed us to do the version of Deadpool and Wolverine that we feel is best.”

Shawn Levy takes the helm as director for Deadpool & Wolverine, with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprising their beloved roles. The cast also includes familiar faces like Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, and Karan Soni, alongside some exciting new additions like Emma Corrin, Rob Delaney, and Matthew Macfadyen.

Behind the scenes, a powerhouse team has assembled to bring this movie to life. Kevin Feige, Ryan Reynolds, Shawn Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner serve as producers. Executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, George Dewey, and Simon Kinberg. The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Shawn Levy.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theatres on July 26 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
