Deadpool 3: Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reunite in first look; Jennifer Garner set to return as Elektra

Deadpool 3 has begun production and fans are elated to see Ryan Reynolds back in the costume. However, there are some changes that have definitely excited the Marvel comic fans. The actor was recently seen on the sets of the movie donning his costume, which was brighter than the previous installments. Following the leaked photos, Ryan Reynolds on Monday shared the first look of Wolverine and Deadpool.

Sharing the first look at their costumes, he simply wrote, "Don't blink" on his Instagram story.

The upcoming film stars Ryan Reynolds, with Wolverine star Hugh Jackman reprising his role. Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna are returning in addition to Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic and Rob Delaney. Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen are the new cast members.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Jennifer Garner is also reprising her role of Elektra after 20 years. The report states, “Her involvement in Deadpool 3 hints at some sort of multiverse angle to the film that has long been rumoured, and it is possible that other characters from Marvel films made by Fox could pop up. But this being Deadpool, one can’t rule out some meta, self-awareness either.”

Jennifer Garner first played the role in 20th Century Fox’s 2003 feature film Daredevil that starred Ben Affleck. However, she was also headlining the spin-off.

Deadpool 3 is being produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige, director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds. The script is by Reynolds, Levy, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese and Zeb Wells. Deadpool 3 has been preponed from November 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024.
