21st-century pop icons BTS have officially released their first-ever live album, PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE, available now on all streaming platforms worldwide. The release is accompanied by a digital code edition titled BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – SEOUL, offering fans a comprehensive audio-visual experience of the group’s iconic tour.
The live album captures the high-energy essence of BTS’s PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE tour, which spanned 12 unforgettable shows across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas in 2021. The tour was originally launched as an online concert in October 2021 and evolved into a global phenomenon, connecting BTS with their fandom, ARMY, both in-person and virtually. The tour drew over 4 million attendees and viewers through various formats, including in-person concerts (LIVE PLAY) and virtual live streaming (LIVE VIEWING).
BTS made history during this tour as the first Korean act to headline consecutive shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, marking a significant milestone in global music history.
The album features 22 tracks, showcasing BTS’s chart-topping hits such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance,” “DNA,” “Blood Sweat & Tears,” and “Boy With Luv” (Feat. Halsey). Many of these tracks were specially rearranged for the tour, adding new layers of excitement and musicality. Songs like “Burning Up (FIRE)” and “IDOL” feature more powerful arrangements, while “Dynamite” and “Butter” include vibrant brass sessions that enhance the live experience. The use of a live band throughout adds richness and dynamism to the performance, further elevating the experience for listeners.
More than just a concert album, PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE encapsulates the emotional synergy between BTS and their fans. The live recording includes not only the group’s stellar vocals and dynamic stage presence but also the cheers and heartfelt support from the crowd, recreating the unforgettable atmosphere of the shows and the deep connection shared between BTS and ARMY.
Alongside the audio release, the group has dropped BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – SEOUL, a 141-minute digital video compilation capturing the final night of the three-day concert held at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium from March 10 to 13, 2022. The package also includes a 92-page interview photobook featuring behind-the-scenes moments and exclusive content, allowing fans to relive every detail of the performance.
The digital edition comes in a card format with a digital code that fans can redeem via Weverse, BTS’s official global fan platform. By scanning the QR code or entering the digital code on the Weverse app or website, users gain access to high-definition video-on-demand content from the concert.
The release of PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE arrives on the heels of BTS’s recent announcement of a new album and world tour, slated for spring 2026, stirring massive global anticipation for what’s next in the group’s journey.
As fans eagerly await the next era, this live album stands as both a celebration of BTS’s historic past and a teaser of their future, capturing the sound, energy, and emotion that have made BTS a global phenomenon.
