BTS obliterates their own Guinness World Record with over 31 billion streams on Spotify

South Korean super titans BTS has smashed their own Guinness World Record with over 31 billion streams on Spotify!

As announced by Guiness World Record, BTS’ music has been streamed a massive 31,960,000,000 times as of 3 March 2023, a number that is nearly double the 16.3 billion streams when they last set the record in April 2021.

The seven-member group also surpassed their fellow K-pop band, BLACKPINK, who currently hold the title for the most streamed female group on Spotify with 8,880,030,049 individual streams.

On the platform, the most streamed song by BTS is ‘Dynamite’ with 1.60 billion streams, while ‘Butter’ and ‘Boy with Luv’ feat. Halsey follow closely behind with 1.08 billion and 1.01 billion streams, respectively.

Other bands that made it to top five include Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and Queen. Besides this title, BTS already hold records for the most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours, most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours and also became the first K-pop act to reach No.1 on the US albums chart.
