The main trailer opens with moments from the band's trainee days leading up to their debut. The scenes that reflect the members' tireless practice are a testament to their intense dedication and passion that allowed them to be the beloved band they are today. The trailer cuts to scenes of the band being widely celebrated beyond their homeland, winning countless awards at international award shows and hosting a stadium concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The celebratory mood takes a turn as the members express their frustration around the cancellation of their tour due to the pandemic. Jin says, "With everything put aside, I’m living like this” while V expresses his disappointment and adds, "I was hoping and waiting for a change in my personal life." In one of the clips, RM says, “We worked our tails off, life was difficult,” and Suga admits, “I was going to run away, for real.”

However, BTS continued to move forward. The time came when the members finally stood in front of their fans again at ‘PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in THE US’ after a long period of wait and anticipation. V couldn't hide his overwhelming emotions, saying "I feel like we’ve been holding on all this time and working that much harder to finally see this. That’s the first thing I want to say."

The trailer closes with the band entering their ‘Chapter 2’ with the start of member’s solo projects alongside group works, looking forward to the day they will reunite as BTS on stage. Jimin says, "Let’s just do this. Nobody has experienced this, so let’s go for it together". SUGA comments, “It’s a time of self-discovery. For all of us.”

BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will be available exclusively on Disney+ with two new episodes released every Wednesday.
