BTS’ Jin looks gallant in his first military-look picture; see photo

South Korean band BTS’ Jin, who recently got enlisted earlier this month, became the first member of the super band to join the military. According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Jin enlisted on December 13 at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon County of Gyeonggi Province. After completing basic military training, Jin will serve as an active-duty soldier.

On December 23, The Camp – a website for people to stay updated with the Korean military, shared a new picture of Jin from the military. In the picture, Jin looked gallant dressed in his uniform wearing a soft smiling.

Prior to his enlistment, Jin made his solo debut with the pop rock genre song ‘The Astronaut’ in late October, written along with Chris Martin of Coldplay; the British band also playing on the recording.

He also performed at their recent Argentina concert. The song marked the second collaboration between BTS and Coldplay after Coldplay X BTS’ ‘My Universe’ was released in September last year.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that BTS’ SUGA will be the next one to enlist in the military. While the details of his enlistment date are yet to be announced, it seems like he will be the first among the remaining members to enlist in 2023. He will be reportedly assigned to serve as a public service worker.

In response to the reports in Korean media, as per media portal Soompi, a representative of BIGHIT MUSIC said in a statement, “BTS members plan to serve in the military sequentially according to their own plans. It is difficult to confirm the artist’s personal information.”

SUGA is anticipated to release his solo album too following his last solo mixtape ‘D-2’ in 2020. He produced and co-featured in PSY's comeback album's title track 'That That'.
