BTS’ Jimin announces first solo album with plans to drop in March

South Korean pop titans BTS’ Jimin is planning to release his first solo album in March 2023. As reported by Korean tabloid Soompi, on February 10, Jimin delighted fans by revealing during a Weverse live broadcast that his first-ever solo album is likely to be released in March. “I think the album I’ve been working on is going to drop in around March,” said Jimin said online.

“I’m currently preparing lots of things that I can do together with you guys around that time,” he added. “I’m planning lots of different kinds of things we can do to have fun together and enjoy ourselves, so I think you can safely look forward to it. You’ve been waiting for such a long time that I wanted to quickly announce this news first before starting [the rest of the broadcast].”

Previously it was reported that Jimin is preparing to release a solo album in February. In response to the reports, a source from his agency BIGHIT MUSIC briefly commented, “The [release] schedule will be revealed once it is finalized.”

Meanwhile, the global singer was recently announced as the global brand ambassador for premium fashion brand Dior. He also attended the Paris Fashion Week in January and met with famous personalities including David Beckham and Robert Pattinson. Prior to that, Jimin also featured on BIGBANG’s Taeyang’s new track “VIBE.”
