Global K-pop group BTS have officially announced their return with a new full-length album, scheduled for release on March 20, 2026, at midnight ET. The album will be the group’s fifth studio release and their first collective project in several years, marking a significant moment in BTS’ career.
Alongside the album announcement, BTS also confirmed plans for a world tour, with full details regarding dates and venues set to be revealed on January 14 at midnight KST. The upcoming tour will mark the group’s return to large-scale live performances nearly four years after BTS Permission to Dance on Stage, which concluded in Las Vegas in April 2022.

The new album consists of 14 tracks and reflects what the group describes as a culmination of their artistic journey so far. BTS worked extensively on the album during the second half of 2025, with each member contributing personal perspectives to shape the overall narrative and sound.

The physical letters were sent to ARMY members who maintained active memberships on the global fan platform Weverse. Fans who do not receive a physical copy will be able to access the same letters digitally on Weverse later this month. Adding to the speculation surrounding their return, BTS reset their official Instagram account at midnight on January 1. The move immediately drew attention across social media platforms, with BTS-related hashtags trending in multiple countries within hours. The reset was widely interpreted as an early signal of the group’s comeback, intensifying fan discussions and media coverage even before the formal announcement.
