South Korean female supergroup BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is gearing up for her long-awaited solo debut. The singer is now filming overseas for the music video.

According to the Korean tabloid Soompi, on February 21, YG Entertainment shared in a statement, “The music video for Jisoo’s solo track is being filmed entirely overseas in strict secrecy. It is worth anticipating as we invested the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos to date.”

The news comes just over a month after Jisoo and YG Entertainment revealed that the BLACKPINK singer would be launching her solo career in 2023. Jisoo had earlier shared on the fan community platform Weverse that she would be releasing her solo album.

The agency later confirmed the news and shared that Jisoo had already shot concept photos for the album and added that the singer “worked on music production whenever she got the time” while on the group’s ongoing Born Pink world tour.

After Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, Jisoo will become the fourth and final member of the group to release solo music. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is all set to perform as one of the headliners at Coachella in the U.S. in April and at the British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park in London, United Kingdom in July.
