One of the world’s richest families, the Ambanis are currently hosting a lavish pre-wedding celebration for their son Anant Ambani and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant, a few months before the childhood sweethearts are expected to tie the knot. The starry three-day celebrations is currently underway in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which is being attended not only by Bollywood stars but also by many global superstars and tycoons. Among them is also Bill Gates, who has flown down to India to attend his ‘first Indian wedding’.
While interacting with the media, Bill Gates was seen talking about Indian weddings wherein he expressed his excitement of gracing one for the first time and also opened up about undergoing preps to put together his ensembles for these functions. “I’m starting at the top (laughs). It’ll be hard to go to another Indian wedding after this one. I know the family and actually organised my visit so that I could attend. I went and got fitted for clothes, so it’ll be a fun thing to do,” he was quoted saying in a Times of India report.
Along with Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, and global stars like Rihanna and DJ Bravo made their presence left at the functions, organized by the Ambanis. As for the pre-wedding festivities, we hear that the bride and groom families have planned a series of conventional and unconventional celebrations for their special guests with a promise that they will be thoroughly entertained throughout the weekend with power-packed performances and warm Indian hospitality.
From the world of B-town, megastars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, along with millennial stars like Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, attended the special cocktail night which was hosted by the family on Friday.
