Angelina Jolie has reportedly ended her two-year legal battle with the United States Department of Justice and the FBI regarding an investigation into Brad Pitt's alleged physical abuse. The case, originally filed in 2022 under the pseudonym "Jane Doe," sought to obtain records about the FBI's investigation into a 2016 incident aboard a private plane, during which Angelina alleged that Brad physically abused her and their children.

According to In Touch Weekly, Angelina informed the court this past week of her decision to drop the case. The legal filing read, "The parties to this action hereby stipulate to dismiss this action with prejudice, with each party to bear its own fees and costs." Angelina had filed the lawsuit after submitting a Freedom of Information Act request in 2021 to gain access to the FBI’s records on the matter.
Allegations denied by Brad Pitt
The 2016 incident, which allegedly involved Brad grabbing Angelina by the head, shaking her, and choking one of their children, has been a focal point in their ongoing legal disputes. Despite the serious allegations, Brad has consistently denied the accusations. The former couple, famously dubbed ‘Brangelina,’ married in 2014 after a decade-long relationship and separated in 2017, finalizing their divorce in 2019.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, have been embroiled in numerous legal battles since their split.
