Veteran actor Zeenat Aman has shared a heartfelt note reflecting on the changing dynamics of the entertainment industry and the increasing presence of women across various creative and technical roles. Taking to social media on May 29, 2026, the actor expressed her gratitude towards the women who form her core professional team and spoke about how different today's work environment is compared to when she began her career.
In her post, Zeenat highlighted what she considers one of the most significant transformations she has witnessed during her five decades in the industry. “Interviewers almost always ask me about ‘what’s changed’ in the 50 odd years that I’ve been acting. Well, this is it! You younger folk can’t comprehend how exhilarating it is for me to be on sets where the producers, photographers, make up artists, hair stylists, clothes stylists, directors, dops and more… are women,” she wrote.
The actor went on to introduce the women who have become an important part of her professional journey over the past few years. She credited them for helping shape her social media presence, photoshoots, styling, and overall work experience.
Speaking about her social media content, Zeenat revealed that much of the inspiration behind her widely appreciated online posts comes from discussions with her creative strategist. “And in case you’ve been wondering how my handle is so ‘millennial coded’, it’s because I spend so much time with these incredible young women,” she wrote, while acknowledging the contributions of her team members.
The actor also shared a candid insight into working on sets as a senior artist. She praised her makeup and hair team for not only helping her prepare for shoots but also ensuring that she is looked after during hectic work schedules. “They not only know how to make me look my best, they also watch out for me on set! You see I have no entourage as such, and on occasion production crews need to be reminded that I’m an elderly woman they mustn’t bully,” she said.
Zeenat further described her team as a source of support and positivity, adding that they have played a meaningful role in making her professional life easier and more enjoyable. “Of course I work with a galaxy of other photographers and stylists, but these are the girls I consider to be my core team. The ones who make life easier, brighter and more beautiful, and who have been such an important part of my journey over the past four years,” she wrote.
Concluding her note, the actor encouraged followers to acknowledge the women who support them in their personal and professional lives. “If you have a female crew who lifts you up, I’d love to read about them in the comments.
