Renowned rapper and singer Yo Yo Honey Singh recently visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain to seek the blessings of the Almighty ahead of his upcoming concert in Indore on March 8. The artist was seen performing rituals and offering prayers at the revered shrine in a peaceful setting.
A video of Honey Singh’s visit, shared by ANI on X (formerly Twitter), has surfaced online, showcasing him entering the temple, offering prayers, and performing a puja. Going by the video, the singer appeared to have special access inside the temple, bypassing the regular queues and receiving VIP treatment during his visit. While some fans appreciated his devotion, others took to social media to express their disappointment over the privileges granted to him.
Many netizens questioned the preferential access given to Honey Singh while ordinary devotees had to wait in long lines for darshan. “That's great. But common citizens doesn't get chance to pray in such way. They hardly get one second for darshan. While VIPs are given treatment. This is not fair,” wrote one of the upset users. Whereas another one too called out this bias and added, “These people get VVIP treatment. But ordinary devotees are still outside in the queue waiting since 2 AM, because YO YO honey singh is there & pujaris are thanking their stars that they got to meet YO YO today. Abhi ordinary bhakt ayenge unhe dhakke de kar aage karenge (when ordinary devotees come, they will be pushed aside)”.
