Yo Yo Honey Singh hails Animal as Indian cinema revolution; calls Sandeep Reddy Vanga “Indian Tarantino” : Bollywood News

Ever since Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal was released, it ignited a conversation about the depiction of violence and toxic masculinity. While a section of the audience heavily criticised the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, many lauded the film. Now, singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh also joined the bandwagon and extended his support to the film. “F*** haters,” he said in his recent Instagram post.

For the unversed, on Thursday morning, the 'Brown Rang' singer shared a photo on his social media feed featuring a snap of the film. While expressing his views, Singh declared Vanga the "Indian Tarantino" and hailed the film as a "revolution in Indian cinema." His caption read, “Now got the chance to watch this amazing movie ANIMAL.”

The note further read, “I must say @sandeepreddy.vanga is indian TARANTINO ! Big up to the revolution in indian cinema f*** the haters ! Wat a screenplay n performances big up RANBIR KAPOOR.”

Speaking of the film, it recently made headlines after the renowned writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar expressed concerns about the commercial success of films featuring controversial scenes. In response, the team Animal responded and urged to let love be free from the politics of gender.

Despite its lengthy runtime of 3 hours and 23 minutes and receiving an A certification from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), the film has garnered immense popularity since its release on December 1. In fact, the team recently reunited to celebrate the success of the film.

Besides Kapoor, it also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol along with Triptii Dimri and Shakti Kapoor playing pivotal roles. The end credits of the film have hinted towards its sequel, titled Animal Park.
