For some filmmakers and writers, this lockdown had become a chance to pen scripts as they had enough time in hand to work on more projects. Writer Rajat Arora, who has previously scripted Taxi No 9211, Kick, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, The Dirty Picture among others, is currently working on Kick 2 script which will bring back Salman Khan as Devil.
Talking about the sequel to a daily, Arora revealed it is a work in progress. While he refrained from talking about it, he indeed spoke about the 2014 action-entertainer that had paisa vasool one-liners. Salman Khan said some lines including ‘main dil mein aata hoon samajh mein nahi’, ‘mere bare mein itna mat sochna’, ‘aap Devil ke peechhey, devil aapke peechhey, too much fun’ among others.
Speaking of the one-liners, when asked whether there will be more of such lines, he said that in the previous film, Devil’s character matched Salman Khan’s personality and that is how he came up with the dialogues. He said that nobody talks like that but one doesn’t want to disappoint a huge star’s fans too. He said that it is the character that eventually dictates the language.
While there is no tentative date as to when the Salman Khan starrer will hit the big screen, Kick 2 will mark the return of Sajid Nadiadwala as the director. Jacqueline Fernandez will reportedly return as the leading lady too.
