Watch: Alia Bhatt dances to iconic Akshay Kumar song to promote Rustom

Prior to this, we have reported several unique acts shared by celebrities to show their support for this week's release Rustom starring Akshay Kumar. Starting with the interesting concept of 'Chupa Rustom' created by Ranveer Singh, now it is Alia Bhatt who has gone a step ahead and recreated one of Akshay Kumar's chartbusters in order to promote his film.

Alia Bhatt shared a video of her dancing to the tunes of the much popular song 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' from the film Mohra, featuring Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. The actress even managed to opt for the same outfit that Raveena is seen wearing in the song and she is seen sporting the cap of a naval officer representing Akshay's avatar from Rustom. She added this video on her Twitter handle with a caption saying, "The madness that comes along with the excitement! Just #1DayforRustom @akshaykumar @Ileana_Official @eshagupta2811". Alia had already triggered the curiousity of her fans by giving them a glimpse of her avatar by sharing a picture before posting the video. Responding to the same was Akshay Kumar, who in a tongue-in-cheek manner replied, "After this act you're sure to get a mandatory rain song in every film ?? Superb one @aliaabhatt."

Rustom, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, also stars Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta, Arjan Bajwa in prominent roles and is slated to release on August 12.
