Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah has expressed gratitude to audiences following the response to The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, which recently began streaming on ZEE5 after its theatrical run.
According to the makers, the film has received strong viewership on the platform and has been trending since its digital release. Shah shared a video message on social media thanking viewers for supporting the film despite debates and criticism surrounding its subject matter.
In the video, the filmmaker said that audiences connected with the story and helped the film succeed both in cinemas and on OTT platforms. He also referred to recent incidents that, according to him, renewed public discussions around themes explored in the film.
Sharing the post online, Shah wrote, “Vipul Amrutlal Shah & Sunshine Pictures continue to tell stories that spark conversations and leave an impact. Thank you for supporting #TheKeralaStory2 and making its theatrical journey so memorable. Now streaming on ZEE5.”
The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha in pivotal roles. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film revolves around the lives of three young women dealing with betrayal, manipulative relationships and the loss of personal freedom.

The project has been produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and co-produced by Aashin A Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures.
Meanwhile, Shah is also preparing for the release of his upcoming projects. His next production, The Silent Saviour: GOVERNOR, starring Manoj Bajpayee, is inspired by true events and focuses on India’s economic crisis of the 1990s. The film is scheduled to release on June 12, 2026.
Apart from that, Shah is also working on Hisaab, a heist thriller directed by him featuring Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah in key roles.
