The actor, who has won several accolades in the past for his performance which has always stood out, adding another feature to his cap, Vijay Varma took home the award for the Best Actor In Leading Role for the 2023 Prime Video series Dahaad at the Asian Academy Creative Award 2023 which was held in Singapore.

Vijay Varma has added yet another victory to his journey as an actor and for this special moment, the actor had opted for a suave all-black attire, in which he was seen flaunting the trophy and expressing his happiness over the win. Vijay posted about his win at the Asian Academy Creative Award 2023, on his social media along with photos and videos capturing the moment, saying, “It’s always amazing when you win an award but this time it was more special because your win is your country’s win. I had the honour of receiving the coveted Asian Academy Best Actor in leading role for Dahaad! I was nominated alongside 10 other acting talents across Asia-Pacific and it was quite a Power packed room.. but happy to say to my countrymen.. we are the best in Asia-Pacific, baby! Thank you so much @asianacademycreativeawards for the honour.???? Couldn’t have done this without my #dahaad team”.

Apart from this award, he also won Filmfare OTT Awards, in the category of Best Actor in a Series (Critics) Drama for the same show.

For the unversed, Vijay, who has already received a lot of praises for his incredible performance in the web show in which he played the role of Anand Swarnakar, a college lecturer who also seems like a doting husband and father but behind this exterior of a noble man is another shade which is unleashed when he becomes a suspect for the murder of 27 women.

Dahaad, also starring Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah, is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, and is an eight-episodic series which is currently streaming on Prime Video.
