Renowned dairy brand Amul has unveiled a heartwarming tribute to Vicky Kaushal's latest film, Sam Bahadur. The iconic Amul Topical, featuring a caricature of Kaushal in his Sam Manekshaw avatar, playfully puns on the film's title and the brand's popular butter product.
Speaking of the film, Sam Bahadur is directed by Meghna Gulzar. It chronicles the life and valour of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. For the unversed, he was one of India's most decorated military officers. It marks Kaushal's second collaboration with Meghna after their critically acclaimed 2018 film Raazi. Besides Kaushal, it also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra.
Kaushal, upon seeing the tribute, expressed his heartfelt gratitude on social media. He shared the topical on his verified social media handle and wrote, “Iss Amul-ya pyaar ke liye shukriya, Sweetie.”

It has garnered a positive response from the critics as well as Vicky’s peers from the entertainment industry. Filmmaker Karan Johar, while giving a shout out to Sam Bahadur, wrote, “He is Sam Bahadur and he is absolute master of his craft. Vicky Kaushal embodies the legend like a bonafide veteran with genius ease!”
In addition to this, actress Katrina Kaif, who is also Vicky’s wife, had penned a heartfelt note. It read, “What a performance, flawless, I’m just astounded , you are too inspiring , true to your craft in the most brilliant integral way , was so proud to watch you shine your way across the screen . I’ve seen you this last year pour yourself into this film and transform into sam.”
The film is facing a clash with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.
