Vicky Kaushal points out the major difference between his Punjabi family and Katrina Kaif’s UK based family : Bollywood News

On Monday, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal launched the much-awaited trailer of their upcoming romantic drama Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. While the actors arrived in style for the discussion about their upcoming film, Vicky’s personal life, which garners a lot of attention because of his marriage to Katrina Kaif, came in the forefront as he recalled his wedding with the actress. He opened up about how the difference between the two families was starkly visible because during their cross-cultural union.

Readers would be aware that Vicky Kaushal belongs to a quintessential Punjabi family whereas Katrina Kaif and her family belong to the United Kingdom. Opening up about it during the trailer launch of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky recalled how the difference was visible in the most minutest of things, including the eating habits. He said, “Ek poora Pind Punjab ka aaya hua toh, ek seedhe UK-returned the. Toh Saaf pata lag raha tha. (One was a complete Punjabi side of the family and the other side was UK-returned. The stark difference was quite visible).

When he was asked if this difference was visible at the bar counter, Kaushal disagreed asserting that both families were having their fair share of alcohol fun but it was the food counter where the contrast was quite evident. “Bar pe sab the, iss mamlein mein main yeh zarur kahunga. Lekin khane ke maamle mein Punjab ko kaun beat karega bhai? Kayi baar toh aate hi wahi (ussi ke liye) hain.(Everyone was there at the bar, I wouldn’t say it was the bar but it was actually the food counter. After all, no one can beat the Punjabis in terms of eating! In fact, most of the times, people attend weddings only for food).”

Along with that, Vicky Kaushal also recalled how like every big fat Indian wedding, there were relatives, who would often find faults in the arrangements. He added, “Aate hi Foofa ji nuks nikaal rahein hain... Golgappe khatam ho gayein? (As soon as he arrived, my uncle started complaining about the ‘golgappe’ being already over).”

Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which has Vicky paired with Sara Ali Khan for the first time, is produced under the banner Maddock Films. It is slated for a theatrical release on June 2.
