Veteran actor Neelu Vaghela joins Suhaagan as Shanti Shukla : Bollywood News

The plot of Colors’ romance drama Suhaagan is at a pivotal junction in its tale of Bindiya (Garima Kishnani), Payal (Sakshi Sharma), and Krishna (Raghav Thakur) tied together in a love triangle that gets complicated as Samay (Sahil Phull) enters their lives. In the current track, Samay and Bindiya are developing a bond which is getting stronger with each passing day but it is making Krish jealous and insecure. Amidst this, popular actor Neelu Vaghela is set to bring a whirlwind of excitement into the show as she steps into the shoes of Shanti Shukla, Samay’s mother.

Speaking of her character, Shanti Shukla is a soft-spoken woman, who wields a sharp tongue when provoked, especially by Indu, Krishna’s mother. Her love for her only son, Samay, knows no bounds, and she fiercely defends him and her dignity without compromise. Talking about joining the show, Neelu Vaghela said, “It's an absolute pleasure to be reuniting with Colors, a channel that truly feels like home. Being part of the show Suhaagan is incredibly exciting, especially considering the immense love has been receiving from the audience, keeping them glued to their television screens. With her arrival in the lives of Bindiya and Krish, the plot is about to take an exhilarating turn as she is very protective of her son Samay. Following the untimely demise of her husband Bhushan when Samay was just thirteen, she found solace in her brother-in-law Baldev's ancestral home in Barabanki. However, she moved back to Bangalore following clashes with Indu over family affairs and personal differences. Now that she's back in Barabanki, viewers are left wondering if Shanti and Indu reconcile, putting aside their past differences, or will their conflict escalate, affecting the dynamics among Bindiya, Payal, Krishna, and Samay.

Suhaagan airs from Monday to Sunday at 6:30 pm on Colors.
