Actor Vedant Sinha, who will be seen in Co-Ed and was last seen in The Family Man Season 3, opens up about his experience, his character, and the journey that shaped him. With sincerity and warmth, he reflects on his time on set, his bond with co-actors, and how school life has deeply influenced him.

Talking about the response he received for his performance in Co-Ed, Vedant shares that the feedback has been “overwhelmingly positive.” His family, friends, and those who have followed his journey felt a strong connection with his portrayal. For Vedant, this project offered a fresh canvas to display a wider range of his craft—something he credits to director Saqib Pandor sir and writer Girish Jodhwani for enabling.
Vedant plays Nikhil, a character he describes as one of the most unique roles he has taken on. “Nikhil is the class topper, and he has a stammering condition that becomes stronger when he’s nervous or scared,” he explains. Interestingly, the stammer reduces when Nikhil feels safe and comfortable. His timid, soft, and gentle personality also sets him apart. Portraying such layered emotions allowed Vedant to tap into a new side of himself as an actor.
Calling his overall journey “magical,” Vedant says working with the cast and crew of Co-Ed has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of his career. He shares a special bond with his on-screen twin Adrija Sinha, whom he praises as “a phenomenal actor.” He also expresses deep admiration for Het Thakkar, Stuti, Gargi, Jiya, Hiten, Yudhvir, and Aarush, who he says have become his closest friends over the last few years. “They are sound in their craft and even better human beings,” he adds.
For Vedant, choosing between The Family Man and Co-Ed is impossible. “Both are close to me in different ways,” he says. While The Family Man marked his debut and brought him early fame, Co-Ed gave him a deeply personal connection through his character. He believes each role contributed uniquely to his growth.
Vedant also talks fondly about working with Varun Badola and Rajeshwari Sachdev, describing them as “beautiful human beings.” He recalls how they treated the younger cast like their own children and how much he learned from them. From Varun Badola, he picked up the art of subtlety — “doing less yet doing enough.” From Rajeshwari Sachdev, he learned how to portray emotions truthfully and with depth.
School life holds a special place in Vedant’s heart. Having always studied in a co-ed environment, he shares that school was an escape from exam stress and daily worries. His friends, he says, were like therapy. “The best part of a co-ed school is that you realise these moments won’t come again, so you enjoy them fully,” he reflects.
With Co-Ed, Vedant not only revisited those formative years but also rediscovered parts of himself — making this project one of the most meaningful chapters of his journey so far.
