The action-packed teaser of Jigra which released recently seems to have taken over the internet with fans of Alia Bhatt sharing their excitement about the film’s release. The actress has left them thrilled with her action-packed avatar in this Dharma production which also explores the never-seen-before sibling chemistry of the actress with The Archies actor Vedang Raina. While both actors have always maintained that the film has been special for them, it is a step more for Raina who is also exploring his skills as a singer in this movie.
The teaser which featured a new version of the popular Hindi song ‘Phoolan Ka Taaron Ka’ is sung by Vedang Raina himself. For the unversed, the lyrics is originally written by Anand Bakshi and is from the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, featuring Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman as siblings. The track is expected to be a cult classic that beautifully defines the sibling relationship between brothers and sisters. Since Jigra too explores similar dynamics between Alia Bhatt and Vedang, the song has been recreated for this Vasan Bala action-thriller.
Sharing his experience of lending his voice to this cult number, Vedang Raina said, “Being able to sing ‘Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka’ for Jigra was an unforgettable experience for me. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and when the makers saw some of my singing on social media, they believed it would be the perfect fit for this film. I’m thrilled that I got the opportunity to bring this beautiful song to life, especially since it plays such an important role in setting the mood for the teaser. Working alongside Alia Bhatt and portraying that sibling bond was truly special, and I think it’s something that will touch the hearts of many. Also starring Manoj Pahwa in a key role, Jigra is produced by Dharma Productions along with Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Studio. The film is slated for release in Navrati, ahead of Dussehra, on October 11.
