Varun Dhawan, who recently wrapped up Street Dancer 3D, is all set to kick-start his next project, Coolie No 1. After the debacle of Kalank, the actor completed the Remo D’Souza directorial. Now, he will reunite with his father on the 90s remake. Sara Ali Khan will be starring him opposite him. And the film has finally gone on the floor.
Farhad Samji, the writer of the film, shared a video clip with a team member while sporting the Coolie No 1 badge. He announced that it was their first day on the project in Bangkok. Coolie No 1, directed by David Dhawan, originally starred Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and Kader Khan. The film featured some of the iconic songs including ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ and ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’. The two songs will be recreated in Varun Dhawan starrer. The film is set to release on May 1, 2020 which is labour day.
