Out of all the films Varun Dhawan has appeared in over all these years, Shoojit Sircar's October is probably the most different one. It is unlike the usually energetic entertainers we see him indulging in, and the actor has agreed time and again, that signing October was quite a switch.
Recently, while responding to a fan on Twitter, Varun revealed that he had broken down while filming one particular sequence. The fan, referring to the scene, tweeted to both Varun and Sircar. "When Shiuli's mom asks Dan to move on as she felt selfish post his mother's visit, Dan's reaction is not shown but he complies nonetheless. Was not showing Dan's reaction intentional? What's the significance," he asked.
Varun appreciated the question and was honest while answering it. "That’s an amazing question. I had infact broken down while filming that scene @ShoojitSircar, " he replied.

The film had also marked the Bollywood debut of Banita Sandhu, who will also be a part of Vicky Kaushal's Sardar Udham Singh.
In an earlier interview, Shoojit had also revealed that he had no special plans of working with Varun, but he spotted the actor at his office one day, and found something teenage and young in him.
