Utkarsh Sharma recalls the time he injured the nose of Salman Khan on the sets of Veer; says, “His nose came in between” : Bollywood News

With the release of Gadar 2 slated for this week, the team of the film are leaving no stone unturned to promote it. Utkarsh Sharma, who played the child actor Jeete, i.e. the son of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel), is expected to reprise the same role in the sequel, wherein he will be seen as the young gabru son of the Jatt Punjabi father in this Anil Sharma directorial. As he gears up for the release, he recalled the times when he worked with his father Anil and opened about an incident that happened on the sets of his father’s film Veer starring Salman Khan.

Utkarsh Sharma narrated an incident wherein he confessed that as a teenager, he once ended up injuring Salman Khan but the superstar was considerate enough and did not even get angry at him for his mistake. It seems that Sharma was about 12-14 years when his father was directing Veer, which also marked the debut of Zareen Khan. During the film’s shoot, Utkarsh was once asked to clap the clapperboard before the shot, and he ended up doing it so close to Salman’s nose that it ended up getting injured.

He recalled the moment at Lehren Retro, wherein he said, “The cameraman told me to take it close to his face, since it was a tele(photo lens) shot so I was supposed to give it very close to his face. I took it very close to his face and I did it (gave the clap) and his nose came in between.” Because Salman was in deep thought, the actor too did not see it coming. Further speaking about Khan’s reaction, Utkarsh continued, “He was deep in thought and he wasn’t looking. He didn’t get angry but I apologised a lot.”

Speaking of Gadar 2, the film marks the return of Anil Sharma as a director and takes off from 20 years after the prequel ended. The film features Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as parents to a young Jeete and marks the debut of Simrat Kaur Randhawa, who essays the role of Utkarsh’s love interest. The film released on August 11.
